The Sushi and Mr. Okada
|
Okada Sushi was started in
November of 1999. Mr. Okada himself owned and operated the restaurant
called Naniwa-ya for many years, before the lease expired and he decided to
get a better location. Then Okada Sushi was born.
Now you must
understand, Mr. Okada is an absolutely amazing Sushi chef. He is
extremely fussy on food quality. So much so that if he can't get the
best quality of a particular kind of sushi on the day you go, you may not
find that kind of sushi on his menu that day. Now that is concerned
with Food Quality!
Fresh is the key when
it comes to Sushi, and Okada Sushi is one of the freshest places around.

So what if you don't like sushi?
No Problem. You can find all kinds of food for the non fish lover at
Okada Sushi. An Authentic Robata (open grill) menu will surely please
you. Chicken, beef, and vegetables abound on this part of the menu.
Sukiyaki is another option. Bring your appetite as this is out of this
world. Tender beef and vegetables, lots of vegetables, and tofu, in a
fantastic slightly sweet almost teriyaki type of a sauce, all cooked at your
table right in front of you.
Vegetable tempura would also surely do for the non fish lover.
Vegetables lightly battered in the lightest crunchiest batter you have ever
tasted. Delicious!

So what else do they have?
All kinds of stuff. Seafood Nabe. (hotpot) This is so fantastic,
you will be back often for more. A seafood lovers dream! Lots of
seafood and vegetables and tofu all cooked at the table in front of you in a
hotpot fashion.
Yaki Nasu, this is grilled eggplant. Not the big eggplant of North
America, but the slender, tender, flavorful eggplant of Japan, served with a bit
of grated ginger. One of my personal favorites! Again, so simple yet
so delicious. Try it.
These are just some highlights. By all means go to the menu page to see
it all!
